A Simple Way To Connect With Beef Consumers

Smart & Final, a grocery store banner owned by Chedraui USA, is doing something right.

Their private label beef brand, First Street, includes a simple on-pack QR code. Scan it, and you’re taken directly to the recipe section of the Smart & Final website.

Well done!

The only suggestion I’d make? Build a beef-specific recipe landing page and point the QR code directly there. Make it even easier for shoppers standing at the meat case wondering what to cook tonight.

Retailers, this isn’t complicated. You can obtain free beef recipes from National Cattlemen's Beef Association, create a simple page on your website, and generate a QR code that takes shoppers directly to it.

Small touches like this matter. They help remove friction, build confidence at the point of purchase, and create a more helpful shopping experience.

In a world where many grocery stores are fighting to differentiate themselves, helpfulness is a winning brand strategy.
